The Horizon SPX Strip‑Till Cultivator is a precision strip‑till tool that blends the benefits of conventional tillage with the conservation advantages of no‑till. Mounted on a tractor’s three‑point linkage it follows GPS guidance to create narrow seedbed strips while preserving residue between rows. Adjustable deflector discs, available in widths from 150 mm to 300 mm and heights up to 100 mm, allow growers to build raised berms in autumn or flat strips in spring. Pneumatically controlled row cleaners and consolidation wheels ensure residue clearance and seedbed firmness with real‑time in‑cab adjustment, while depth ranges from 15 to 23 cm (up to 40 cm if needed) to alleviate compaction efficiently.
Under each strip the SPX uses a robust tine and wing system that fractures subsurface layers and precisely places fertilizer in the seed zone. Choose from low or high‑disturbance points (27 mm and 46 mm) and a selection of wings for tailored soil lift. CleanSweep row cleaners prepare the seedbed by removing debris without disturbing soil structure, and pneumatic consolidation ensures optimal compaction to promote moisture retention. Easy-to-tune adjustments for width angle and toe‑in/out of berm builders empower growers to adapt strip formation to soil type, moisture and seasonal needs.
